Carbon is a design language for confidential records — the page is a typed file kept under seal, and the only colour is the single passage cleared for release.
Most of the record is struck out under solid ink bars — that is the grid. One passage is cleared and wears a single stamp-vermilion band. Hover a bar in the live file to declassify it; nothing else is ever coloured.
Content defaults to sealed. The page is governed by what is withheld, not what is shown — severe emptiness, then one dense typed cluster.
Exactly one passage carries the vermilion highlight. The accent is a clearance, never decoration.
Every line is typewritten on a carbon copy; stencil stamps mark the chrome. The voice is the instrument.
