Lantern is a lit-from-behind interface. Every surface is a dyed-tissue pane in dark leading, and the glow does the work an outline never could.
No card carries a border. Each surface is a tissue pane pressed into a thin dark came, lit from behind so depth comes from the bloom. Where two tissues overlap, the colour multiplies into a glowing third tone.
A candle behind each pane lifts the colour off the night. Focus, depth and emphasis all come from how brightly a pane is lit — never from a heavier edge.
Three luminous colours, laid like light through paper. Overlaps deepen into ember, leaf and plum — they glow, they never dull.
Wickwood's lantern walk runs from the riverbank to the old kiln. Each maker hangs one pane; the panes together become a window strung across the night.
Lamps lit at 7:40, walk closes when the paper carp is set adrift.
panes hung along the path, each a maker's wish.
Glassine tissue sheds a drizzle; stewards relight if the wind takes one.
A maker chooses one colour, folds a pane, and trims its glow until the bell. Lantern keeps the register and lights the route in order.
Pick amber, rose or teal. Fold it, write the wish that the light will carry, and hang it in your row.
The register shows which panes are lit, which wait, and where the next flame goes along the towpath.
Take the Lantern language into your own evening product — a community walk, a memory wall, a slow planner that glows.
