The snowpack stacks like the interface: translucent strata at distinct depths, each etched with a crystalline fern-frost rim. The cold thaw-line marks the one weak layer that bonds — or doesn't.

What it watches

Eight masts. One warm.

Sensor masts report from the open cols. Seven read sub-zero; one — the hut relay — carries the lone ember that tells you something is melting.

Mast telemetry

Temperature, wind, and depth poll every 90 seconds and settle into the frosted readout as live panes.

The hut relay reads +1.2°. One ember in a cold frame — the only thing you check twice.

We don't open a pass because the sky is clear.
