Surfaces don't sit. They pour.
A surface is a vertical channel: thin bright glaze at the top lip, deepening as it falls, gathering into a glossy pool at the foot. That pour is the only shadow — there are no borders anywhere in Verdigris.
Lit lip
Every tile is brightest where the glaze is thinnest — the fired rim at the top. The eye starts high and is carried down.
The pour
Colour runs downward in a single channel, thinning and darkening, the way real glaze runs on a vessel in the firing.
Kiln-flash
One rivulet per view catches the flame — a single electric cyan-teal mark on the one rare, live thing worth catching.
Read the day as rivulets, top to bottom.
Lists, timelines, and navigation are parallel drip columns. Each runs downward from its lit head; the value settles in the pool at the foot. The one column the flame touched glows cyan.
One material, fully committed.
Jade glaze is the living field, tenmoku-dark is the pool it gathers into, copper iron-flash is the rarest seasonal mark — used once, never spread. A faint craquelure webs the gloss across every surface, evenly, never as decoration piled on.
The living glaze
The dominant translucent field — bright at the lip, deep in the run.
Iron-flash
The third mark, rarest of all. One copper flush where iron broke through — a seasonal accent, never a flood.
The crackle web
A single craquelure system across the gloss — one texture, applied evenly, holding the dark together.
Fire something worth watching run.
Verdigris ships as tokens, fired-tile compositions, a drip-index dashboard, and a full shadcn recipe — dark, glossy, and crackled, never washed pale.
