Shuimo水墨

A design language painted onto warm rice paper. Scroll, and a loaded brush unrolls the handscroll — ink blooms open each scene and dilutes into the next.

Unroll the scroll

01 — Living stillness

Emptiness isnot absence. It carries the ink.

Liubai — the unpainted field — is the most active part of the frame. Three tadpoles drift through a whole sheet of quiet, and the eye supplies the pond. Shuimo builds interfaces the same way: dense where it must be, vast where it can be.

02 — Diffusion

One drop of sumi,
the whole sheet breathing.

Move your cursor: the ink blooms toward it and bleeds into the paper. Nothing here is a solid fill — every tone is water finding fiber, wet edge dissolving into nothing.

03 — Diluted hierarchy

Rank is a matter of dilution.

No grey divider systems. Emphasis is pure sumi; secondary text is the same ink, watered down; the quietest note is a single feathered tidemark. One tone, many strengths — the whole scale drawn from a single brush.

04 — The seal

Approved. The seal is pressed.

Vermillion is rationed to a single gesture — the carved seal bleeding wet into the fiber. It marks what is true: the active reel, the finished wash, the mark of a hand that decided.

05 — Colophon

Every frame breathes like a scroll painting.

Shuimo is a contemplative language for archives, restoration, storytelling and quiet media — surfaces behave like absorbent paper, transitions bloom like ink in water, and interaction stays legible without turning mechanical.
