rules
Use a spacious product workspace with one dominant release-sequencing surface, a compact command column, and one deliberate offset proof panel to break the dominant alignment.
Moderate density with 16px control padding and at least one 64px breathing gap between hero context and operational modules.
Large smooth headings establish product intent, then pixel-font labels identify machine states; indigo frames structure while cyan and lime are reserved for action and readiness.
layout
mobile 375px, tablet 768px, desktop 1200px with CSS grid reflow and preserved functionality
A 12-column desktop grid supports a dominant central workspace and a narrower command column; mobile collapses into one ordered flow.
Large outer gutters and a deliberate 64px hero-to-workspace gap make the small pixel accents feel precise rather than busy.
guidance
- Use pixel typography only for labels, counters, badges, and compact annotations while keeping paragraphs in Host Grotesk.
- Keep the palette cool-electric: indigo for structure, cyan/turquoise for active states, lime only for ready or confirmed states.
- Use quantized dividers and bitmap glyphs to communicate sequence, validation, or machine precision.
- Style every control explicitly with hairline borders, 18px surfaces, and cyan/lime focus states.
- Do not use square-grid backgrounds, repeated dotted fields, side rails, stripes on cards, chipped corners, or uneven borders.
- Do not turn the pixel motif into arcade nostalgia, Minecraft blocks, hacker terminals, or neon cyberpunk glow.
- Do not add warm accent colors except semantic warning/error tokens, and do not spread accents across a rainbow.
- Do not use generic three-card dashboard rows, nested cards, or decorative charts without product meaning.

# Quantum Pixel Product Surface ## Philosophy A premium white product interface where pixel logic behaves like precision machining: tiny bitmap marks, quantized dividers, and pixel-font annotations organize a release-control workspace without becoming retro arcade decoration. ### Values - Apple-clean restraint with abundant white space and quiet neutral surfaces - Cool-electric hierarchy led by indigo structure, cyan/turquoise activity, and lime readiness states - Pixel details as evidence of precision, sequencing, and machine confirmation rather than nostalgia - Readable product typography with pixel type reserved for compact accents and telemetry ### Anti-Values - Square grid backgrounds, dotted default texture, game skins, chipped corners, or blocky Minecraft surfaces - Rainbow accent sprawl, neon cyberpunk glow, terminal hacker clichés, and color used as garnish - Generic SaaS dashboard cards, decorative side rails, uneven borders, and browser-default controls ### Visual Character - White and pearl surfaces use 1px cool hairline borders, 18px committed radii, and soft cyan-tinted shadows instead of generic gray elevation. - Quantized dividers are built from short 2px-high rectangular pixel ticks that appear at section starts, active tabs, separators, and status summaries. - Pixel-font micro labels, counters, and sequence badges use Pixelify Sans while headings and body copy remain smooth, readable Host Grotesk. - Indigo owns navigation and structural emphasis, turquoise/cyan owns active focus and live data, and lime appears only for confirmed-ready states. ## Tokens ### Borders - **Accent Width**: 2px - **Character**: cool translucent borders define surfaces; # Quantum Pixel Product Surface
## Overview
A premium white product interface where pixel logic behaves like precision machining: tiny bitmap marks, quantized dividers, and pixel-font annotations organize a release-control workspace without becoming retro arcade decoration.
### Values
- Apple-clean restraint with abundant white space and quiet neutral surfaces
- Cool-electric hierarchy led by indigo structure, cyan/turquoise activity, and lime readiness states
- Pixel details as evidence of precision, sequencing, and machine confirmation rather than nostalgia
- Readable product typography with pixel type reserved for compact accents and telemetry
### Anti-Values
- Square grid backgrounds, dotted default texture, game skins, chipped corners, or blocky Minecraft surfaces
- Rainbow accent sprawl, neon cyberpunk glow, terminal hacker clichés, and color used as garnish
- Generic SaaS dashboard cards, decorative side rails, uneven borders, and browser-default controls
### Visual Character
- White and pearl surfaces use 1px cool hairline borders, 18px committed radii, and soft cyan-tinted shadows instead of generic gray elevation.
- Quantized dividers are built from short 2px-high rectangular pixel ticks that appear at section starts, active tabs, separators, and status summaries.
- Pixel-font micro labels, counters, and sequence badges use Pixelify Sans while headings and body copy remain smooth, readable Host Grotesk.
- Indigo owns navigation and structural emphasis, turquoise/cyan owns active focus and live data, and lime appears only for confirmed-ready states.
## Colors
Use the YAML color tokens as the normative palette. The prose below names the roles agents should preserve when generating UI.

|-------|-------|
| accent | `#C9FF2E` |
| background | `#FBFCFF` |
| border | `#D8E1EA` |
| error | `#D84B5D` |
| info | `#18C7E8` |
| muted | `#657080` |
| primary | `#2636D9` |
| secondary | `#00AFC7` |
| success | `#8AEF3A` |
| surface | `#FFFFFF` |
| text | `#111827` |
| warning | `#D9B43A` |

## shadcn/ui Usage
When the target app uses shadcn/ui, copy DESIGN.md with shadcn instead of the plain DESIGN.md. It contains the same Katagami design-language source plus the shadcn/ui primitives, imports, theme variables, component recipes, and preview-shot guidance.
DESIGN.md with shadcn: `/language/en-019e4bf7-0375-7810-916e-f16811abe66d/DESIGN.with-shadcn.md`.
The shadcn page also exposes optional machine-readable files for automation, but the human-facing handoff is DESIGN.md with shadcn.
Install recommended primitives with `npx shadcn@latest add button card input textarea select dialog sheet tabs badge separator checkbox switch slider tooltip dropdown-menu table`.
Use these primitives in shadcn apps:
- button
- card
- input
- textarea
- select
- dialog
- sheet
- tabs
- badge
- separator
- checkbox
- switch
- slider
- tooltip
- dropdown-menu
- table
Implementation rule for agents: import shadcn primitives from `@/components/ui/*`, apply the generated CSS variables first, then compose the language-specific recipes from the companion MD. Katagami remains the source of truth; shadcn names are the implementation surface.
## Do's and Don'ts
- Do Use pixel typography only for labels, counters, badges, and compact annotations while keeping paragraphs in Host Grotesk.
- Do Keep the palette cool-electric: indigo for structure, cyan/turquoise for active states, lime only for ready or confirmed states.
- Do Use quantized dividers and bitmap glyphs to communicate sequence, validation, or machine precision.
- Do Style every control explicitly with hairline borders, 18px surfaces, and cyan/lime focus states.
- Don't Do not use square-grid backgrounds, repeated dotted fields, side rails, stripes on cards, chipped corners, or uneven borders.
- Don't Do not turn the pixel motif into arcade nostalgia, Minecraft blocks, hacker terminals, or neon cyberpunk glow.
- Don't Do not add warm accent colors except semantic warning/error tokens, and do not spread accents across a rainbow.
- Don't Do not use generic three-card dashboard rows, nested cards, or decorative charts without product meaning.

# Quantum Pixel Product Surface shadcn/ui Components
Artifact: `component-recipes-v1`
Author: `katagami-ui-projection`
Language ID: `en-019e4bf7-0375-7810-916e-f16811abe66d`
Slug: `quantum-pixel-product-surface`
## Intent
A premium white product interface where pixel logic behaves like precision machining: tiny bitmap marks, quantized dividers, and pixel-font annotations organize a release-control workspace without becoming retro arcade decoration.
## Required primitives
- button
- card
- input
- textarea
- select
- dialog
- sheet
- tabs
- badge
- separator
- checkbox
- switch
- slider
- tooltip
- dropdown-menu
- table
Install with `npx shadcn@latest add button card input textarea select dialog sheet tabs badge separator checkbox switch slider tooltip dropdown-menu table`.

## Visual character to preserve
- White and pearl surfaces use 1px cool hairline borders, 18px committed radii, and soft cyan-tinted shadows instead of generic gray elevation.
- Quantized dividers are built from short 2px-high rectangular pixel ticks that appear at section starts, active tabs, separators, and status summaries.
- Pixel-font micro labels, counters, and sequence badges use Pixelify Sans while headings and body copy remain smooth, readable Host Grotesk.
- Indigo owns navigation and structural emphasis, turquoise/cyan owns active focus and live data, and lime appears only for confirmed-ready states.
## ShadSync visual profile

## Signature component recipes
### Button
Use `Button` for primary, secondary, outline, and ghost actions. Primary actions must expose the language's strongest contrast pair, while secondary and ghost actions should preserve the surface treatment instead of falling back to default neutral SaaS styling.
### Card
Use `Card`, `CardHeader`, `CardContent`, `CardFooter`, and `CardAction` as the main composition frame. Cards should demonstrate the language's surface, border, hierarchy, and density rules rather than appearing as generic rounded rectangles.
### Input and Textarea
Use `Input` and `Textarea` with visible focus rings, field labels, validation states, and the language's rhythm. Forms should show real product content, not placeholder-only controls.
### Select, Tabs, and Table
Use `Select`, `Tabs`, and `Table` to prove navigation, filtering, and dense data states. The table should show row rhythm, separators, hover/focus states, and an empty or status state when the language calls for it.
### Dialog and Sheet
Use `Dialog` for centered decisions and `Sheet` for contextual editing. Both should inherit the language's spacing, border, overlay, and motion rules.
## Preview shots
- `application-shell`: dashboard or workspace shell with navigation, cards, forms, and state badges.
- `detail-editor`: focused editing flow using input, textarea, select, switch/checkbox, dialog or sheet, and action buttons.
- `data-operations`: table-heavy operational view with tabs, dropdown menu affordances, badges, and destructive/empty states.
- Each preview shot must include a renderable `scene` payload with concrete headline, description, actions, and rows/fields/stats for the UI preview.
## Implementation contract
- Start from local `ui/src/components/ui` shadcn-style primitives; do not create a second component system.
- Apply `/katagami/shadcn/quantum-pixel-product-surface/registry-theme.json` variables, then use these recipes for composition and state design.
- Preserve Katagami token names as source metadata; shadcn semantic names are only the export surface.
- Do: Use pixel typography only for labels, counters, badges, and compact annotations while keeping paragraphs in Host Grotesk.; Keep the palette cool-electric: indigo for structure, cyan/turquoise for active states, lime only for ready or confirmed states.; Use quantized dividers and bitmap glyphs to communicate sequence, validation, or machine precision.; Style every control explicitly with hairline borders, 18px surfaces, and cyan/lime focus states.
- Do not: Do not use square-grid backgrounds, repeated dotted fields, side rails, stripes on cards, chipped corners, or uneven borders.; Do not turn the pixel motif into arcade nostalgia, Minecraft blocks, hacker terminals, or neon cyberpunk glow.; Do not add warm accent colors except semantic warning/error tokens, and do not spread accents across a rainbow.; Do not use generic three-card dashboard rows, nested cards, or decorative charts without product meaning.
## Copy-paste component example
This generated starter proves the import shape. Production Katagami agents should replace it with a language-specific product composition.
```tsx
