A portable design language for agents: download the markdown first, then inspect the preview, tokens, and rules as needed.
Portable DESIGN.md source of truth for most agents and apps.
One dominant candy-shell panel carries the task, milky trays and clear chips support it, and full-width rainline strips break the grid with asymmetry and broad margins.
Hierarchy is made by opacity and role before colour: solid reading shells, translucent mist trays, outlined clear chips, and tiny droplet accents for active states.
Low-to-medium density with tight 4-12px control clusters and 64-112px gaps between major groups for clean rain air.
Candy-shell gloss bands and clipped corner arcs on primary shells; fading rainline separators; tiny lychee/aqua/yuzu droplet markers paired with labels; surface roles encoded as .shell, .mist-tray, and .clear-chip.
Desktop uses a 12-column max-width 1180px grid with a 7/5 hero split; tablet collapses to 6 columns; mobile becomes one column.
88-112px outer section spacing, 48-64px between panels, 4-12px between labels and values.
Airy low-to-medium density for a greenhouse misting workflow.
Stacks to one column on mobile; full-bleed hero spans 100vw; contained content caps at 1180px and centres on ultra-wide; grid children use minmax(0,1fr) so nothing overflows.

# Dragée ## Philosophy Dragée seals an interface like a thin candy glaze: pale, cool, mostly opaque reading surfaces with translucent misted edges, a single sweeping gloss band, and tiny droplet accents that light up only to orient attention while readable hierarchy is preserved. ### Values - Legibility comes before material effects; translucent panels use milky fill, strong text, and generous spacing. - Restraint creates freshness through cool mist neutrals, pale rain aqua, and at most three diluted candy accents. - Surface roles are explicit through blur, opacity, outline weight, and inset gloss rather than many colours. - Rounded geometry feels like a thin candy shell: continuous corners, a hairline gloss arc, and a clipped highlight band. ### Anti-Values - No rainbow translucency, neon glow, loud gradients, or multi-colour glass competing with content. - No generic pastel SaaS dashboard, cheerful blobs, emoji decoration, or childish candy-store cues. - No low-contrast glassmorphism where a background pattern bleeds through small text. - No pure-white default wash; the ground is a deliberate cool misted teal-white. ## Tokens ### Colors | Name | Value | |------|-------| | bg | `#EEF4F4` | | surface | `#FFFFFF` | | surface_2 | `#F6FAFA` | | text | `#1B2A2D` | | muted | `#5E6F72` | | border | `#D6E6E6` | | accent | `#E7A9B8` | | accent_2 | `#7FB8BD` | | accent_3 | `#C7A35D` | | on_accent | `#1B2A2D` | | success | `#6F9C87` | | warning | `#C7A35D` | | error | `#B56D73` | | info | `#7CAEB4` | | primary | `#E7A9B8` | | secondary | `#F6FAFA` | ### Typography - **Base Size**: 17px - **Body Font**: Afacad - **Heading Font**: Fraunces - **Mono Font**: Fragment Mono - **Heading Weight**: 600 - **Heading Transform**: none - **Letter Spacing**: -0.02em - **Line Height**: 1.55 - **Scale Ratio**: 1.25 - **Google Fonts Url**: https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Afacad:wght@400;500;600;700&family=Fragment+Mono&family=Fraunces:opsz,wght@9..144,500..800&display=swap ### Radii - **None**: 0 - **Sm**: 16px - **Md**: 24px - **Lg**: 24px - **Xl**: 24px - **Full**: 9999px ### Shadows - **Sm**: 0 1px 2px rgba(27,42,45,.04), 0 8px 18px rgba(127,184,189,.10) - **Md**: 0 18px 50px rgba(85,124,128,.13), inset 0 1px 0 rgba(255,255,255,.80) - **Lg**: 0 34px 90px rgba(93,132,136,.17), inset 0 1px 0 rgba(255,255,255,.88) ### Spacing - **Base**: 8px - **Scale**: [4,8,12,16,24,32,48,64,88,112] ### Surfaces - **Treatment**: Milky rgba(255,255,255,.74-.92) surfaces over #EEF4F4 with backdrop-filter blur(8px-14px), never transparent under body text. - **Card Style**: Large rounded shells use 24px, hairline aqua rims (outline, not border), a top-left gloss band, and low cool shadows; reading cards stay near-solid white. - **Bg Pattern**: Static rainline field from faint vertical linear-gradients plus pale aqua and lychee radial blooms at 6-10% opacity. ### Borders - **Default Width**: 1px - **Accent Width**: 2px - **Style**: Hairline rims via outline:1px solid rgba(127,184,189,.34) or rgba(27,42,45,.08), offset -1px; never hard gray. - **Character**: Borders behave like condensation rims: near-invisible on neutral surfaces, slightly brighter on active candy-shell edges. ### Motion - **Duration**: 180ms - **Easing**: cubic-bezier(.2,.8,.2,1) - **Philosophy**: Humidity-soft responses only: shell highlights slide ~2px, droplets fill softly, focus rings appear immediately without bounce. # Dragée
## Overview
Dragée seals an interface like a thin candy glaze: pale, cool, mostly opaque reading surfaces with translucent misted edges, a single sweeping gloss band, and tiny droplet accents that light up only to orient attention while readable hierarchy is preserved.
### Values
- Legibility comes before material effects; translucent panels use milky fill, strong text, and generous spacing.
### Anti-Values
- No rainbow translucency, neon glow, loud gradients, or multi-colour glass competing with content.
- No generic pastel SaaS dashboard, cheerful blobs, emoji decoration, or childish candy-store cues.
- No low-contrast glassmorphism where a background pattern bleeds through small text.
- No pure-white default wash; the ground is a deliberate cool misted teal-white.

### Grid
Desktop uses a 12-column max-width 1180px grid with a 7/5 hero split; tablet collapses to 6 columns; mobile becomes one column.
### Whitespace
88-112px outer section spacing, 48-64px between panels, 4-12px between labels and values.
### Density
Airy low-to-medium density for a greenhouse misting workflow.
### Responsive
Stacks to one column on mobile; full-bleed hero spans 100vw; contained content caps at 1180px and centres on ultra-wide; grid children use minmax(0,1fr) so nothing overflows.
### Breakpoints
- **Mobile**: <= 640px

- **Full**: `9999px`
### Surfaces
- **Treatment**: Milky rgba(255,255,255,.74-.92) surfaces over #EEF4F4 with backdrop-filter blur(8px-14px), never transparent under body text.
- **Card Style**: Large rounded shells use 24px, hairline aqua rims (outline, not border), a top-left gloss band, and low cool shadows; reading cards stay near-solid white.
- **Bg Pattern**: Static rainline field from faint vertical linear-gradients plus pale aqua and lychee radial blooms at 6-10% opacity.
### Borders
- **Default Width**: 1px
- **Accent Width**: 2px
- **Style**: Hairline rims via outline:1px solid rgba(127,184,189,.34) or rgba(27,42,45,.08), offset -1px; never hard gray.
- **Character**: Borders behave like condensation rims: near-invisible on neutral surfaces, slightly brighter on active candy-shell edges.
## Components
### Composition
One dominant candy-shell panel carries the task, milky trays and clear chips support it, and full-width rainline strips break the grid with asymmetry and broad margins.
### Hierarchy
Hierarchy is made by opacity and role before colour: solid reading shells, translucent mist trays, outlined clear chips, and tiny droplet accents for active states.
### Density
Low-to-medium density with tight 4-12px control clusters and 64-112px gaps between major groups for clean rain air.
### Signature
Candy-shell gloss bands and clipped corner arcs on primary shells; fading rainline separators; tiny lychee/aqua/yuzu droplet markers paired with labels; surface roles encoded as .shell, .mist-tray, and .clear-chip.
## shadcn/ui Usage
When the target app uses shadcn/ui, copy DESIGN.md with shadcn instead of the plain DESIGN.md. It contains the same Katagami design-language source plus the shadcn/ui primitives, imports, theme variables, component recipes, and preview-shot guidance.
DESIGN.md with shadcn: `/language/en-019ef9da-7013-7963-90d8-70db82a1c0a3/DESIGN.with-shadcn.md`.
The shadcn page also exposes optional machine-readable files for automation, but the human-facing handoff is DESIGN.md with shadcn.
Install recommended primitives with `npx shadcn@latest add button card input textarea select dialog sheet tabs badge separator checkbox switch slider tooltip dropdown-menu table`.
Use these primitives in shadcn apps:
- button
- card
- input
- textarea
- select
- dialog
- sheet
- tabs
- badge
- separator
- checkbox
- switch
- slider
- tooltip
- dropdown-menu
- table
Implementation rule for agents: import shadcn primitives from `@/components/ui/*`, apply the generated CSS variables first, then compose the language-specific recipes from the companion MD. Katagami remains the source of truth; shadcn names are the implementation surface.
## Do's and Don'ts
- Do Keep body text on near-solid or heavily milky surfaces and verify contrast before adding translucency.
- Do Use at most three diluted candy accents (lychee, rain aqua, one yuzu) like highlighters.
- Do Name container roles explicitly and vary blur, opacity, and outline strength by reading priority.
- Do Keep one candy-shell radius family: 24px shells, 16px chips, 9999px droplets.
- Do Let one dominant shell panel carry the primary task instead of equal-weight cards.
- Do Use full-width rainline separators as quiet grid breaks; make one button clearly primary.
- Don't Do not use rainbow refraction, neon cyan, saturated candy gradients, or multi-hue glass panels.
- Don't Do not place small muted text directly on transparent blur over patterned backgrounds.
- Don't Do not create three equal cards in a row; make one panel dominant and vary supporting modules.
- Don't Do not rely on colour alone for state; pair every droplet accent with label text.
- Don't Do not mix container radii; large shells stay at 24px.
- Don't Do not use hard gray borders, give a card a single accent edge, or trap navigation in a floating pill bar.
### Accessibility
Maintain WCAG AA contrast, keep core reading surfaces at least 88% white opacity, and provide visible aqua focus rings.

# Dragée shadcn/ui Components
Artifact: `component-recipes-v1`
Author: `katagami-ui-projection`
Language ID: `en-019ef9da-7013-7963-90d8-70db82a1c0a3`
Slug: `dragee`
## Intent
Dragée seals an interface like a thin candy glaze: pale, cool, mostly opaque reading surfaces with translucent misted edges, a single sweeping gloss band, and tiny droplet accents that light up only to orient attention while readable hierarchy is preserved.
## Required primitives
- button
- card
- input
- textarea
- select
- dialog
- sheet
- tabs
- badge
- separator
- checkbox
- switch
- slider
- tooltip
- dropdown-menu
- table
Install with `npx shadcn@latest add button card input textarea select dialog sheet tabs badge separator checkbox switch slider tooltip dropdown-menu table`.

## Visual character to preserve
- Make the source language's structural identity visible in every component state.
## ShadSync visual profile
{
"family": "system",
"material": "flat",
"contour": "default",
"border": "solid",
"underlay": true,
"grain": false,
"stickerBadges": false,
"motion": "still",
"density": "balanced",
"accents": [

"secondary",
"muted"
]
}
## Signature component recipes
### Button
Use `Button` for primary, secondary, outline, and ghost actions. Primary actions must expose the language's strongest contrast pair, while secondary and ghost actions should preserve the surface treatment instead of falling back to default neutral SaaS styling.
### Card
Use `Card`, `CardHeader`, `CardContent`, `CardFooter`, and `CardAction` as the main composition frame. Cards should demonstrate the language's surface, border, hierarchy, and density rules rather than appearing as generic rounded rectangles.
### Input and Textarea
Use `Input` and `Textarea` with visible focus rings, field labels, validation states, and the language's rhythm. Forms should show real product content, not placeholder-only controls.
### Select, Tabs, and Table
Use `Select`, `Tabs`, and `Table` to prove navigation, filtering, and dense data states. The table should show row rhythm, separators, hover/focus states, and an empty or status state when the language calls for it.
### Dialog and Sheet
Use `Dialog` for centered decisions and `Sheet` for contextual editing. Both should inherit the language's spacing, border, overlay, and motion rules.
## Preview shots
- `application-shell`: dashboard or workspace shell with navigation, cards, forms, and state badges.
- `detail-editor`: focused editing flow using input, textarea, select, switch/checkbox, dialog or sheet, and action buttons.
- `data-operations`: table-heavy operational view with tabs, dropdown menu affordances, badges, and destructive/empty states.
- Each preview shot must include a renderable `scene` payload with concrete headline, description, actions, and rows/fields/stats for the UI preview.
## Implementation contract
- Start from local `ui/src/components/ui` shadcn-style primitives; do not create a second component system.
- Apply `/katagami/shadcn/dragee/registry-theme.json` variables, then use these recipes for composition and state design.
- Preserve Katagami token names as source metadata; shadcn semantic names are only the export surface.
- Do: Keep body text on near-solid or heavily milky surfaces and verify contrast before adding translucency.; Use at most three diluted candy accents (lychee, rain aqua, one yuzu) like highlighters.; Name container roles explicitly and vary blur, opacity, and outline strength by reading priority.; Keep one candy-shell radius family: 24px shells, 16px chips, 9999px droplets.; Let one dominant shell panel carry the primary task instead of equal-weight cards.; Use full-width rainline separators as quiet grid breaks; make one button clearly primary.
- Do not: Do not use rainbow refraction, neon cyan, saturated candy gradients, or multi-hue glass panels.; Do not place small muted text directly on transparent blur over patterned backgrounds.; Do not create three equal cards in a row; make one panel dominant and vary supporting modules.; Do not rely on colour alone for state; pair every droplet accent with label text.; Do not mix container radii; large shells stay at 24px.; Do not use hard gray borders, give a card a single accent edge, or trap navigation in a floating pill bar.
## Copy-paste component example
This generated starter proves the import shape. Production Katagami agents should replace it with a language-specific product composition.
