Yesterday's Taste, the cinematic cut

The same song as a cinematic cut: a film of pictures made with Grok Imagine in one painted look, cut on the beat, with every sung line set in code over it and windows in Katagami design languages that carry the jokes.

Made by Arni

How it was made

  1. Katagami art styles

Every picture is drawn in Flint with Grok Imagine, its prompt pasted unchanged into every request; four accent shots use Mastic and Shadowbox the same way.

  2. A shot for every two beats

Each shot is planned with its story beat, its joke and an empty part of the frame for words.

  3. Stills first, then motion

Every still was checked on sheets before a clip was made from it.

  4. Gated takes

Each clip is scanned for extra faces and raised arms, and the edit uses only the clean stretch.

  5. Cut on the grid

Every cut is on the beat, with each hit landing two frames after its cut.

  6. Words set in code

Lines are set as they are sung, placed by what is under them, with windows in Katagami design languages.
